Global Animations

NASA SVS (Scientific Visualization Studio) has visually intense animations that encompass the entire globe. These samples range from biosphere, sea temperature, carbon dioxide, ozone and more.

Taking this data over a sequence of time, a WMS browser can view these frames over a period of time creating the animation.

Regional Animations

There are various samples that demonstrate a variety of important Earth science phenomena. These need to be seen up close. See wildfires across Africa, or hurricanes as they make their way over water and land.

Individual frames can be loaded instead of animations to absorb all the information the set contains.

Full Description Text

Each set of data comes with a full description that points out what can be seen and how it is happening.

By describing what to look out for, users get pointers on what's to be learned for each set.
