MarsQuest, a Langley Research Center project, is an interactive curriculum providing an integrated approach to learning about science, math, and the exploration of Mars. Students and their classmates become "Mars Specialists" in order to guide assist the Orbitson family on the journey to Mars, where they must locate and retrieve the NASA Pathfinder and Lander and bring them safely home.
Along their journey, both the students and the Orbitsons must learn about the surface and history of Mars explorations, as well as what traveling to and living on Mars would be like. They will need to assist the Orbitsons in locating the Lander, in order to land themselves. After students have successfully guided the Orbitsons through their mission, they will then get to control a LEGO rover over a Mars's terrain in hopes of finding the Lander.
